3 days in the nature

For the third day of discovery in Torgnon, we propose other routes, which can be freely chosen, in terms of duration and genre. The tourist office will be able to advise you on which nature guides and experts can accompany you (tel. 0039 0166 540 433, Piazza Frutaz 11, info@torgnon.net).
Torgnon's trails allow you to enjoy the outdoors, make new discoveries and learn from nature even for a week's stay: the really interesting months are autumn and spring, the time for school trips or family holidays.

Walk at Col Saint-Pantaléon and Saint-EvenceLINK

A classic and very beautiful walk leads to the Col Saint-Pantaléon and the little church of Saint-Evence. It is also possible to reach Saint-Evence by leaving your car near the col, but we really recommend the entire route. The views are extraordinary, and several points are worth a stop for the scenery.

To the protected Lo Ditor pondLINK

The Lo Ditor pond is an unmissable destination for those visiting Torgnon. It is located at an altitude of 1,920 metres, in the Chavacour valley, and is easily accessible on foot or by bike. Because of its uniqueness, Lo Ditor is included among the Special Areas of Conservation (SAC) of the Natura 2000 Network, a European ecological network created with the aim of safeguarding and conserving natural habitats and the animal and plant species that inhabit them. It is an excellent destination for nature discovery and scientific eco-tourism. The waters of Lo Ditor are home to the 'Greenlandia densa', an aquatic plant that lives totally submerged, the 'Ranunculus peltatus', with floating leaves and roots on the seabed, the 'Salix petandra', or fragrant willow, very rare in the Aosta Valley, the 'Utricularia minor', a carnivorous plant with bladders that act as both floats and tiny traps.
